A Valmet entregará a terceira máquina de papel tissue Advantage ThruAir Drying (TAD) para a fábrica da Irving Consumer Products em Macon, Geórgia, EUA. A nova instalação apoiará o compromisso da Irving Consumer Products em fornecer produtos tissue ultraprêmium para o mercado norte-americano. A previsão de início de operação é para 2027.
O pedido está incluído na carteira de pedidos recebidos pela Valmet no quarto trimestre de 2024. O valor do pedido não será divulgado. A Valmet e a Irving Consumer Products compartilham uma longa história de parceria, com diversos projetos de tissue realizados juntas. Os projetos mais recentes incluem duas máquinas TAD entregues à fábrica de Macon, com inícios bem-sucedidos em 2019 e 2021.

Informações técnicas sobre a entrega à Irving
A Valmet entregará uma linha completa de produção de papel tissue, incluindo equipamentos de preparação de massa. A nova linha contará com uma máquina de papel tissue Advantage ThruAir equipada com o headbox OptiFlo II TIS, secadores ThruAir, um sistema de ar e o tambor de enrolamento Advantage SoftReel.
O escopo também inclui sistemas de controle de névoa e poeira, sistemas de automação, engenharia básica para a fábrica, serviços do Valmet Performance Center e serviços de instalação e comissionamento. Após a entrada em operação, a linha de produção aumentará a capacidade anual de produção de papel tissue da Irving Consumer Products em 75.000 toneladas.

Valmet to deliver an Advantage ThruAir Drying tissue machine to Irving Consumer Products in Macon, Georgia, USA
Valmet will deliver a third Advantage ThruAir Drying (TAD) tissue machine to Irving Consumer Product’s mill in Macon, Georgia, USA. The new installation will support Irving Consumer Products’ commitment to provide ultra-premium tissue products to the North American market. The startup is planned for 2027.
The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the fourth quarter 2024. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
Valmet and Irving Consumer Products share a long history of partnership, covering several tissue projects together. The most recent projects include two TAD machines delivered to the Macon mill with successful startups in 2019 and 2021.

Delivery’s technical information
Valmet will deliver a complete tissue production line, including stock preparation equipment. The new line will feature an Advantage ThruAir tissue machine equipped with an OptiFlo II TIS headbox, ThruAir Dryers, an air system, and an Advantage SoftReel reel.
The scope also includes mist and dust control systems, automation systems, basic mill engineering, Valmet Performance Center services, and services for installation and commissioning. Once operational, the production line will increase Irving Consumer Products’ annual tissue production capacity by 75,000 tons.
