O sólido foi substituído pelo leve, caracterizado pela fragilidade das relações em todos os sentidos.

Never has the principle of impermanence been as evident in the market as it has in recent years. As editor of this magazine, and having followed our traditional March Cover Story over time, I can say that challenges have grown significantly with each cycle—often in unprecedented ways. A retrospective reading of these market features would likely lead you to the same conclusion.
Just as philosophers in earlier times sought to reflect on life and offer meaningful insights into human nature and the world, the same need for interpretation remains today. In this context, the description offered by Polish philosopher Zygmunt Bauman stands out as particularly relevant. His concept of “liquid modernity” captures the essence of impermanence in today’s world—where what was once solid has been replaced by what is fluid, marked by the fragility of relationships in every dimension.
Learning to navigate these shifting conditions is something the forest-based sector has done effectively. The industry continues to sustain investments, overcome commercial challenges, and implement strategic initiatives that enable it to grow while maintaining global competitiveness.
